You can’t think outside the box until you know what’s in it! In this sales planning and strategy meeting, the objective is to get back into the box and to narrow a range of possibilities to smaller, actionable steps.
Define and prioritize top projects or goals for the coming year and the associated action items and measurable outcomes that will form the basis of the company’s next annual sales plan.

How to use this template
Activity instructions
Download our template and review the instructions.
Place a common object into a box and prepare one box for every two participants.
Place stacks of yellow, orange, and green Post-It Notes and pens on each table
Label flip chart pages and hang them on the wall.
Form teams of two and one participant will look inside the box and the other will then ask 10 “yes or no” questions to guess what’s inside.
Each participant will take 3 yellow sticky notes and write different sales projects or goals they plan to accomplish in the coming year.
Each participant will take 9 orange sticky notes and write tangible actions that needs to be taken to carry out the project.
Each participant will take 9 green sticky notes and write the criteria that measure a successful outcome for each action item.
Place the sticky notes on the appropriate flip chart page.
