🎨 Introtoons

Fast-paced creative visual thinking exercise.

Visual thinking can have a powerful impact on business performance. Introtoons is an exercise that plays on these strengths to help your engineering team break the ice and get to know each other in a team environment.

Engineers will use abstract visual symbols (without words) to reveal six facts about themselves to the group.

How to use this template

Activity instructions
Download our template and review the instructions.
Make copies of the Introtoon handout.
Participants will draw their completed Introtoons on the worksheet using the prompts provided.
Each team is given 10 minutes to discuss each participant’s Introtoon.
The engineer should allow the rest of the group to offer their interpretations before explaining the meaning of their drawings and why they chose certain symbols in their work.
