Untangle obstacles to fostering connection and belonging as you explore the connection between spider webs and team relationships.
This hands-on activity will create a sense of connection and belonging and help the team self-reflect on how they create a welcoming environment for others.
How to use this template
Prep instructions
Things you will need:
Ball of yarn
Scissors
Activity instructions
Download our template and review the instructions.
Form participants into a circle.
Hand a ball of yarn to one of the participants and ask them to introduce themselves to the group and share an interesting fact about themselves.
The participant will toss the ball to a new participant while holding onto one end of the yarn.
The next person then shares a fact about themselves related to the fact shared by the previous participant, and tosses the ball of yarn while holding their own end of it.
This continues until each participant has had a turn.
The last person will toss the ball of yarn back to the first person, cut the string and tie a knot, forming a complete web.
