How to use this template

Activity instructions

1. Read the instructions and copy handouts to distribute to participants.

2. Divide participants into groups of six.

3. Introduce the topic of inclusive thinking with a discussion of how common biases and stereotypes can perpetuate negative assumptions and shut down diversity of people and viewpoints.

4. Ask groups to have each participant pick a different thinking hat and discuss the topic from that hat’s perspective.

5. The group will now pick a different topic to discuss for round two of the exercise.
