In this collaborative session, engineers will take their objectives to the extreme as they gain a comprehensive understanding of how OKRs can align their engineering efforts with organizational goals, thereby leading to improved focus, productivity, and collaboration.
How to use this template
Activity instructions
Download our template and review the instructions.
Provide participants with a brief overview of OKRs using the provided slides.
Participants will come up with five to seven objectives that will be a focus for the coming quarter.
The facilitator should write each objective on a separate flip chart page or on a whiteboard with space underneath to add additional items.
Ask the group to take each objective to the extreme and come up with the most impossible version of the objective.
Ask participants to take the extreme ideas and dial them back, turning them into something that is innovative but possible.
Ask participants to take the innovative ideas and dial them back one more time, turning them into something that is possible and feasible to achieve in the next quarter.
