Our Top International Resorts

This week we are doing a deep dive into our favorite international retreat destinations. While it can seem intimidating to take guests overseas, international retreats can be the most rewarding for your employees. Surprisingly, they can also be more inexpensive than urban locations within the U.S (depending which country of course!).

To save you time on your hotel research, we have curated a list of our favorite vetted resorts that are perfect for groups. We love these places and think you will too.

We begin with our favorite beach side havens. Those perfect locations, ideal for fall and winter, when you can whisk everyone away and avoid summer crowds. Perfect way to optimize your retreat budget as well!

Let us know which one is your favorite!

  1. Malliouhana Anguilla
    Location: Anguilla (Caribbean)

About: Rated as one of the “500 Top Best Hotels in the World” we knew we had to add this to our list! From sunset excursions to rum and chocolate classes, the white sand beaches are just the cherry on top of this establishment! Not to mention their meeting space which is formatted as a “creative zone” of colorful lounge furniture for an inspirational gathering space. When can we move in though?

2. Casa Coco
Location: Isla Mujeres, Mexico

About: Your boutique alternative in the Yucatan Peninsula on Isla Mujeres! Peaceful sunrises in this luxury accommodation will mesmerize your senses! Meeting rooms to congregate if you wish and plenty of snorkeling and refined relaxation at your fingertips. If you are looking for “island chic” this is your place.

3. Morning Star’s Buoy Haus Frenchman’s Reef
Location: St. Thomas, Caribbean

About: Perfect for groups that need to be productive yet want to step outside into a magical oasis. Fitted for snorkeling excursions, historic downtown meanderings, or stunning beaches for swimming. The perfect place for business and pleasure. Visiting the Caribbean in the fall and winter is ideal as humidity greatly decreases, yet you can still enjoy warm beach weather!

4. Pine Cliffs
Location: Southern Portugal

About: On the southern tip of Portugal, nestled on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, this luxurious property has everything you need. With 12 different restaurants, unique alcove beaches hidden between rock formations and a historic town just outside, there is so much rich history and nature to immerse in. We have seen Portugal as a prime place for those that want a unique experience on a budget.

5. Mondrian Ibiza
Location: Ibiza, Spain

About: The island of Ibiza is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and the opportunity to take a ferry to explore Old Town and the neighboring islands is right at your fingertips from this beautiful cliffside oasis. Stay at the resort where they have 7 restaurants and bars or venture to walk around the village of Cala Llonga. This is the perfect place to mesh history with relaxing water adventures. Noted as one of the most peaceful parts of the island.

6. Sotogrande
Location: Spain

About: If you are looking for modern Andalusian countryside chic, Sotogrande is your place! With over 150 rooms and stunning meeting spaces that can be custom set to your meeting needs, this wellness retreat is the perfect place to gather. Not to mention the cascading golf course that meanders down into the mediterranean sea!
